Guy Nassiff
the Voice of The Deepening

Mainstream and Literary short stories and novels

author Guy Nassiff, the voice of The DeepeningGuy Nassiff was born in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in a working class neighborhood of apartment buildings which housed many culturally and ethnically diverse families. Brooklyn, in the 60’s and 70’s, was filled with colorful characters, some of whom ran on the wrong side of the law. From blue collared, crew cut family men who enjoyed a beer at the corner tavern to stumbling junkies and vicious street gangs, Williamsburg bared it all. Guy was privy to family feuds and parties, easily audible from accompanying apartments, runners taking bets for bookies, and gang wars where youths foolishly risked and, sometimes, lost their lives defending the only thing they thought precious: their turf.

Guy lives in New York City with his wife and two sons, and he cherishes the friendships he forged when he was a child on those Brooklyn streets. He’s just completed his first novel, Last Night’s Heroes.
