My name is John Chew, and I’m a 41-year-old train conductor living in Surrey in England. As it happens I’d rather be a millionaire playboy author living in a luxury beach-house in the Seychelles.

Hmm.

To this end I decided I really should have a go at writing something. It is rather expected of an author, after all (even a millionaire playboy one).

What you find in The Deepening are a number (two at present, more if I can coax the site into taking them) of my short stories. I hope you like them, though a strange (otherwise refered to as “warped”) sense of humour might be useful here.

I am currently single (ravishingly beautiful fashion models may forward their applications for the post of “girlfriend” through the site), but enjoy the companionships of two scruffy-looking dogs called Sophie and Chester.

I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs, and I had a stable, reliable and happy childhood.

Damn … no hope of making it as an author, then!
