Literary short stories, playwright

“zen, here is my authors bio picture. i went to Walmart and had it taken. that’s my story, and i’m sticking to it.”

award-winning author and playwright Michael K. WhiteAs one half of the semi-legendary playwriting team
Broken Gopher Ink,

MICHAEL K. WHITE spent his youth tricking and fooling producers into investing their dirty money in his lurching, lumbering plays. Incredibly this led to forty play productions, including fifteen off-Broadway runs that cloaked the author with a bogus literary credibility he misuses to this day.

His low cholesterol mega monologue play, “My Heart And the Real World” ran for almost two years in New York City, enabling the authors to eat at John’s Pizzeria.

A shy, humble man who lives with the cows in Colorado, White, a frequently published, deeply scarred veteran of the furious litmag scene of the 80’s, is now content to live in solitude with his debts and addictions. Recently his family introduced a new addition; a sassy black and white kitten named Circe who enjoys sleeping, dashing about late at night and eating spiders.

13 Halloweens by Michael K. White

Top Ten Million Writers Award 2007

The events of thirteen Halloweens prove symbolically defining, full of eerie premonition, to one man’s life as he moves toward the most historic, landmark moment of the new millenium. Each Halloween carries its own significance and knell, but can he see to catch it? Can you? (Literary)

Editor’s Note: This came to my inbox during my illness, and Womblin, our managing editor, was full-sighted when she swiftly secured it for The Deepening. This is a truly exceptional journey, written in a truly exceptional expression and method. —zentao
