Marva Dasef

Science Fiction, Fantasy, Reviews and Other Stuff

author Marva DasefMarva Dasef writes at her home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  Retired from thirty-five years in the software industry, she has now turned her energies to writing fiction and finds it a much more satisfying occupation.  She lives with her husband and two cats (don´t all writers?) in Eugene, Oregon, where she graduated from the University of Oregon many years ago.  She has two grown sons who, thankfully, have not yet boomeranged back home.

For all information on Marva’s writing check out her webpage and Dasef Central blog.

Story List

Extraordinary Rendition by Marva Dasef

“If you want a serious interrogation, you send a prisoner to Jordan. If you want them to be tortured, you send them to Syria. If you want someone to disappear — never to see them again — you send them to Egypt.” Bob Baer, Former CIA Agent. (Action-Adventure)

EDITOR’S NOTE: Totally relevant to today’s world, this came across womblin’s desk from an author new to The Deepening’s ranks, and, I, as well as she, found it most worthy. A powerful story delivered from a very intense, completely personal investment in life. Wow. —zentao for womblin

If You Could See Her by Marva Dasef

What could he possibly see in her? What could she possibly see in him? It’s the person who counts, not anything else! Really. (Romance)

Editor’s Note: This is one of the most delightful, delicate and perfectly drawn true Romances I’ve had the pleasure to read in a long time. Not overdone at all, this is exquisite…and, yes, I snapped this out of the slush pile, claiming the find for myself, though it was destined for another TD editor —zentao
