“Scripto Ergo Sum.”

My name is Elle Pepper, I am a twenty-something, and in some parts of this universe, ruler of a large part of the Milkyway. Here, on Earth, though, the only Milky Way I have is the one I bought from the store.

I’ve been asked by many people why I write, and while yes, I do want to entertain, and teach, I also want to rekindle a dying art, that of Storytelling. My stories, while you say they are ‘sci-fantasy’ or ‘Experimental,’ I call them “Future histories from other realities.” These are all things that I have seen though my ordinary mirror next to my bed.

I’ve crossed over into this world once or twice, and as a result, have come back with quite a few stories besides the ones that I merely saw. I think the most shocking thing was to find that one of my doubles rules the known universe, while another is a starving writer who can sometimes barely keep the lights on.

That is why it pleased me to be accepted by the deepening for one of my favorite stories, “Dead End Jump.” The story that introduced me to the why behind the mirror.

As to why I write. It is simple “Scripto Ergo Sum.”
