Literary short stories
Ian Stuart is a writer/performer living and working in York, one of the oldest and most historic cities in the north of England. He has had articles, short stories and poems published in various newspapers and magazines, as well working for local radio stations. He has written and performed a one man show about Sydney Smith, the 19C social critic and wit, as well as performing regularly for The Ghost Trail of York.
He loves his wife, his children, his cats and his Apple Mac— probably in that order.

The Tower by Ian Stuart
A fatherless teenager gets his very own hero in Captain Moss Sinclair when the man flies his brand new Ford Tri-Motor onto Clarkstown’s rarely-used airfield. Will the town welcome him and his ideas? Can Frank find the father-figure he sorely needs? (Literary)
Editor’s Note: A great instance of first-person narrative, this. And a fantastic group-character study in only a few thousand words that drew me in and kept me there from the first to the last. Please welcome author Ian Stuart making his The Deepening debute with The Tower. —womblin
