Burgess, Steven Wayne

Literary/Experimental Fiction
Mr. Burgess was raised and “mis-educated” in the Old South…or, at any rate, in that “weirdly confused variant” of the South known as Florida. He is self-taught, has a penchant for the “peculiar” with respect to his writing, and is currently residing in China where he is attempting to teach a course in Business English.
Says Mr. Burgess, “Read as much as you can stand to, be willing to designate one great writer as your personal muse/daemon throughout life — and, then, demand of yourself an entirely different voice, one that you have never heard before.”

Equilibria by Steven Wayne Burgess
Theft of a plum ends with a key that doesn’t fit…. (Literary / Experimental)
Editor’s Note: Cast adrift, the detritus of lives and life form collages in a symphony rarely heard and visited. With potent delivery, the imagery and sensitivity presents truth unvanished, undisguised, in this perceptive visit to a world too often missed and dismissed. Excellent. —zentao
