I do cover art for books and CDs among some of the other hats I wear…besides reading novels and being “mouthy.” Today I received an invitation to one of those online “author events” celebrating yet another book release, this one a historical romance. Now, I have a few male Scottish friends, and everyone of them is a hairy barbarian…as in hairy chest–VERY hairy chest. So what’s on the cover? This headless hunk stripped to the waist and not a hair in sight. Totally depilated. Totally. ROFLMAO. Of course, this is no reflection on the author or his/her book, but, you know, it would be nice to try to keep some things realistic.
